Sentimental Houston Anniversary Session

I’m sure you recognize these two by now! I photographed Sarah and David’s proposal, engagement session, bridal portraits, wedding day and now their anniversary session! They are about to move to South Carolina and wanted to take one year anniversary photos before they left.

When Sarah was tell me her vision for her session, I thought it was the sweetest thing. They wanted to take a walk down memory lane and take photos in all the places in Houston that are sentimental and meaningful to them.

Sentimental Houston Anniversary Session

Sarah and David have a routine date that they do quite frequently. First, they go to Phoenicia in downtown Houston for drinks and pastries, followed by a walk to Discovery Green. This is such a special date for them so we had to recreate it for their session! We even went back to the exact same spot in Discovery Green where Sarah realized that she was in love with David. How sweet is that?!

Afterwards, we walked across the street to the Hilton hotel and over to a sofa where Sarah told David, for the first time, that she loved him. It was so sweet watching these two go back to all these sentimental places…you could see all the sweet memories racing through their minds!

After we finished at the Hilton, we drove to the Eastern Glades in Memorial Park which was where David proposed to  her. We spent the rest of our time here taking the sweetest portraits of them. This session is the fifth time Sarah and David have been in front of my camera- they are posing professionals at this point! Hah! But in all seriousness, they made my job so easy! These guys knew exactly what to do!

You may remember that Sarah is a wedding photographer herself! We ended their session with a few headshots and branding photos for the new website she is building! Sarah’s signature trademark is her red lipstick so of course, we had to feature it!
