Meet Sarah and David!! These two are the absolute most sweetest couple ever. I met Sarah in an education Facebook group for wedding photographers. She’s also a wedding photographer in Houston!! Sarah posted in the group asking who all was from Houston and I responded that I am! Not but 10 minutes later, she sends me a message saying that she and her boyfriend, David, are planning on getting engaged soon and then planning a wedding! They were looking for a wedding photographer and Sarah told me I was exactly what she was looking for! How sweet is that?!

Sarah and David chose their wedding date based on our availability and booked us before they were even engaged! Y’all…I can’t even tell you what a huge honor that is and the fact that Sarah is a wedding photographer herself just makes it even more amazing!

The Planning

David reached out to me about photographing their proposal. When we were nailing down all the details, he told me he was taking Sarah to the park in the morning and that “if he had to wait all day to get engaged to Sarah, he’d lose his mind.” How sweet is that?! He could not wait to ask Sarah to marry him!

When I got the the park, I met Sarah’s parents (who were in on the secret). They were setting up a picnic area full of photos and mementos from their relationship. On their first date, they had a picnic together and David had gotten Sarah flowers. When they got back to their car, an older couple had left them a note on their windshield thanking them for doing the simple things and how beautiful it was. David had kept it pressed in his Bible ever since. Sarah was so surprised to see it!

The Proposal

When David texted me saying they were walking my way, I hid behind some cement pillars and photographed their sweet proposal. Of course, Sarah said, “YES!”. Getting to photograph their exuberant joy was so much fun! We had a mini engagement session afterwards and you’ll never guess what happened at the end- the cavalry police photobombed us! Hah!
