An Almond Blossom Portrait Session | Bakersfield, California

They met when they were in the 9th grade. Tiffany and James were friends all throughout high school but in their senior year, their friendship blossomed into romance! These two have been together ever since! Tiffany is an amazing wedding photographer in Southern California! We met each other through online photography education courses we were both taking and became virtual friends! We’ve been following each others journey ever since! It wasn’t until this session that I got to meet Tiffany for the first time. I just love this amazing wedding photography network!

Tiffany reached out to me a few weeks ago asking if I was available to photograph her and James underneath the almond blossoms in Bakersfield, California. The very thought of this session made me so excited!! We set up a Google hangout meeting to talk about all the details and meet each other face to face. Just hearing Tiffany talk about her vision, I knew this session would be a total photographers dream! (I mean, she is a photographer after all!) The almond blossoms only bloom for a short amount of time each year so I was thrilled my calendar was open for the exact weekend she knew they’d be in bloom! So, Tiffany and James flew me out to California for the weekend and I photographed them under the blossoms!

I just love Tiffany! As soon as I got out of the car at the orchard, she hugged me and thanked me for coming all the way to California! She is such a kind and sweet person, it’s no wonder that James is in love with her! And speaking of James, he is perfect for Tiffany! He is so sweet with her, knows exactly how to make her laugh, and is incredibly supportive of her dreams. I just love that!

Tiffany had such an amazing vision for this photo shoot! She got an invitation suite for styling purposes, had two incredible outfits, a gorgeous bouquet and the prettiest flower crown for her perfectly styled hair! (I had some major hair envy during this session! Hah!) And just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, they topped it off with a bed of rose petals made from two hundred roses!!! I still can’t get over that! But get this- she brought me not one, but two stools for this session since I couldn’t fly with mine! It made all the difference in their rose petal portraits. Tiffany literally thought of everything! I am beyond thankful for having amazing clients who bring me to such gorgeous locations!
