Hermann Park Engagement Session

They met eight years ago when they performed together in the San Angelo Symphony. He plays violin, she plays viola. Although they were attending college at different places, they remained good friends over the years. Katherine and Paul began dating in 2017, and not even a year later, they were engaged!! It was meant to be! Paul took her to Mozart’s cafe in Austin and handed her a note he had written before they ever started dating. The very last line of it read, “Will you marry me?” Paul knew years ago that he wanted to marry her. Isn’t that the sweetest?! But it gets even better. Paul proposed to her with his grandmothers beautiful ring. Since Katherine loves Grace Kelly and all things classic with a 60’s vintage style, it was perfect!

I met Katherine when I was teaching elementary music at League City Elementary. My students fed her intermediate school orchestra program, so she would come to my school every year to talk to my 5th graders about joining orchestra. She is the sweetest, and I have loved getting to know her over the years!

Michael and I had so much fun photographing them at their engagement session. Katherine and Paul are so sweet together! At the beginning of the session, I told them their only job was to have fun, and be in love. Paul immediately said, “Oh, that will be easy!!” He just adores Katherine. I loved watching him fix her hair when the wind blew and how he whispered into her ear to make her laugh. He knows exactly how to make her laugh, and we LOVED it! I just love photographing two people so in love with each other. We don’t have to wait very much longer to photograph these two again because they’re getting married next Saturday!! Michael and I can’t wait to see them tie the knot at her parents’ church in Austin. They’re even going to have a jazz band at the reception! Congratulations Katherine and Paul! We’re so excited for you!
