Intimate Oak Tree Wedding | League City, TX

Morgan and Kevin are MARRIED! They had such a sweet and intimate wedding under the most beautiful and magical oak trees. As with most of our 2020 brides, their wedding was not what they had originally planned, but it was an incredible day nonetheless. When Covid hit, they gave up their original venue and found the most beautiful park in League City. This park is a hidden gem. When Morgan saw it, she knew that was the perfect place for them to get married.

They stood under a massive oak tree with branches that seemed to spiral on forever. Their closest friends and family stood around them and watched, with tear-filled eyes, as Morgan and Kevin said their vows to one another. When I saw Kevin for the first time this morning and told him “happy wedding day!” he responded with an enthusiastic, “finally!!!” These two have been waiting and looking forward to this day for months and months. And what a beautiful day it was!

When I was photographing Morgan’s details, her mom came over and brought us an old, family Bible and a necklace that belonged to Morgan’s great-great-grandmother. This necklace was worn by Morgan’s mother, her grandmother, her great-grandmother, and her great-great-grandmother on their wedding days. And now Morgan had it on her wedding day! Five generations of women in their family have worn this necklace on their wedding day! It was such a neat piece of family history to include in her detail shots.
