A Spring Hermann Park Engagement Session

Meet Kacey and Carlos!! I have known Kacey for several years now! She and my sister are very good friends and actually used to teach science together! And get this- Kacey and my sister taught at the same school where Michael used to teach band and where we first met!!

How they met

Kacey and Carlos met online and in Kacey’s words, it was “love at first meet!” They clicked instantly and would talk on the phone for five or six hours at a time. When Carlos dropped her off back home after their first date, Kacey knew that was going to be her last first date. Little did she knew, Carlos was thinking the same exact thing!

The proposal

Fast forward to December. They were on a camping trip in Garner State Park but what Kacey didn’t know, is that Carlos had been planning a proposal as part of the trip for months. A while back, Kacey’s grandma took her great-great-aunt’s ring off her finger and gave it to Carlos to propose to Kacey. He kept it with him and started planning the perfect proposal! They were sitting by their campfire looking up at the stars when Carlos pulled out her gorgeous, family heirloom and asked her to marry him. It was the most magical moment!! The next day, he took her to a cabin where both of their families were anxiously waiting to celebrate with them!

Kacey is seriously the sweetest. At their engagement session, she told me that she was never one to dream about planning her wedding. But she knew one thing for sure- she wanted us to be her photographers! To know that we were the one thing she wanted most of all for her wedding is such a huge and incredible honor!
