Hermann Park Engagement Session

Meet Erin and Michael!! Erin emailed me on Monday after being engaged only a week, booked us on Tuesday and we shot their engagement session on Saturday!! And in just seven weeks, they’ll be getting married! Everything has just been falling perfectly into place for these two. 

These two are an absolute blast!! I think we laughed the entire session. Erin has THE best smile and laugh. Even her emails to me are full of excitement and so much joy! It is the best!

Michael and Erin met about 10 years ago while they were in college. He was a freshman, she was a junior and they both attended church together. Erin loved hanging out with Michael and loved his spirit and although they were friends, they never thought about dating. Throughout the following years, they would bump into each other here and there and the more they ran into each other, the more Erin secretly wished he would ask her out. Fast forward to October. They bumped into each other again and a few days later, Michael asked her out! They’ve been inseparable ever since!

These two got engaged just two weeks ago! They went out to Whataburger with some friends after church (ironically a JK couple!!) and were back home, saying their final goodbyes to each other for the night. Erin and Michael love to just stand and hold each other in a hug before parting ways. When Michael was pulling his keys out of his pocket, the ring rattled around and Erin knew right away what it was. Michael decided the time was right and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was the sweetest, most romantic and perfect proposal! 

Erin doesn’t have many rings that fit so the ring size was kind of a guess for Michael! One they got engaged, they sent the ring off the get resized. When we scheduled their engagement session Erin realized she wouldn’t have her real engagement ring! Hah! At the end of the day, it’s not about the ring. It’s about what it represents and the covenant they’re about to make to each other and before God.
