Meet Ali and Peter! These two met online in July of 2017. Peter was in Houston for one day while on his way to San Antonio when he and Ali matched up on a dating app. Ali was home in Houston that summer in-between semesters at the University of Arkansas. Peter drove back to Houston from San Antonio to meet her and they had their first date touring around the city of Houston! For their second date, Peter drove all the way from San Antonio to Fayetteville, Arkansas (where Ali was attending school) and they officially began dating!

These guys are just amazing to me! Peter currently lives in New Mexico and Ali lives in Tennessee. They have been dating long distance throughout their entire relationship, but come July, that will all change!! We first met Ali and Peter when we photographed her sisters wedding back in December- Ali caught the bouquet and Peter caught the garter! Talk about meant to be! Fast forward a few weeks later to Christmas morning. Peter took Ali on a sunrise walk on the beautiful, white sandy beach in Pensacola, Florida. There, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Of course, she said “Yes!”. It was the perfect Christmas!  Ali wasted no time in contacting us. Two days after their proposal, we were booked to photograph their wedding!

I’m so thankful the rain held off for us since Ali and Peter both flew in from out of state for their engagement session! We may not have had any sunshine during their session but the joy they had just by being together (in the same state!) provided all the glow we needed! Michael and I just loved getting to know these two during their session! Peter has been in the Air Force for six years (including his time at the Academy) and in May, he will be promoted from Second Lieutenant to First Lieutenant! He’ll be swapping out his gold bar for a silver bar. Ali graduated in 2018 with a degree in industrial engineering and started a new job in Memphis, Tennessee! Ali and Peter, we can’t wait for your wedding in July!! Especially since you’ll be cutting the cake with Peter’s Air Force saber! Enjoy these few favorites from your engagement session!
