Hi there! I'm Joanna Krueger and my husband Michael and I are a wedding photography team in Houston, TX. We hope you enjoy viewing our latest work and getting a peek into our lives!
When Erin first emailed me, I knew she was going to be a dream to work with. Her joy was overflowing as she shared about how she and Michael met, got engaged, and the amazing wedding they were planning. I’ve actually known various members of Erin’s family for years but I had never met her until their engagement session, which was a blast!!Â
I cannot tell you how amazing it is to work with couples who trust you completely and basically let you do whatever you want! Erin and Michael are what we call dream clients! They prioritized photography in their planning and we spent the majority of their wedding day going around Brazos Bend getting amazing portraits!!Â
When Erin and Michael were searching for their perfect ceremony location, they both fell in love with this massive Spanish moss tree in what Brazos Bend calls, “The Emerald Green Room”. It’s a secluded area of the park with the biggest, most epic tree I’ve ever seen. When I turned the corner and saw it, I literally stopped in my tracks and just stared at it, taking it all in. Erin and Michael fell in love with this location and wanted to have their ceremony here. But, as luck would have it, the non-stop rain during the days leading up to their wedding forced them to relocate their ceremony indoors. But that didn’t stop us from getting great portraits there!
Erin is just amazing to me. She wore sloggers underneath her wedding dress all day so she could hike through the saturated and soggy ground to get to their first look location and other places for their portraits. When we went to the famous “wedding tree” for portraits, there was literally one small patch of dry ground where they could stand. Erin picked up her wedding dress, walked through the flooded areas and her smile never left her face. That is truly amazing to me! Most brides would be worried about getting their dress dirty, but not Erin. She knew it was going to be worth it!!!Â
We had a nice surprise at their reception- their getaway car was an old GTO that Michael’s grandfather bought brand new in 1966. His family has kept up with it through the years and it made for the perfect getaway car! When I saw it sitting in the parking lot, I knew we had to get portraits with it! Not only did it make for some amazing portraits, but it was such a sweet and special memory for Michael and his family. When they saw what we were up to, they came out to enjoy the moment with us and started sharing stories about when his grandfather purchased it.Â
Erin and Michael, I hope you two are enjoying a nice and relaxing honeymoon!!! You deserve it! Enjoy scrolling through and reliving your best day ever with these few favorites!
