Beach Family Session | Galveston, TX

Oh, where do I even start with this one? I absolutely love my family. Over the years, I’ve been photographing my sisters beautiful, growing family at all different stages! We photographed Jackson’s one year photos in this very spot in Galveston several years ago and now, we photographed them as a family of five and Jenson turning one! We even took the same kind of walking photo with Jenson that we have of Jackson. It’s crazy to think how much your life changes over the years! My sister, Jenna, and her husband, Jacob,  now have three sweet boys- Jackson, Jude, and Jenson. (Anyone catch a theme there?? My family loves “J” names!)

I don’t know what I love more from these photos- Jenson’s curls, all the little baby teeth, the sweet smiles, or those little suspenders!! And speaking of sweet smiles, a huge shout out goes to Michael (“Big Mike”) for dancing around behind me, waving his arms, singing, making animal sounds, and being on baby patrol while I photographed Jenna and Jacob by themselves! He is such an amazing uncle!

The week leading up to the session, we weren’t sure if it was even going to happen. There was 100% chance of rain scheduled and Thursday was the day the *crazy* storm rolled through causing all the Houston school districts to cancel school due to flooding. On Saturday, Jenna and I were texting back and forth pretty much all day trying to decide if we should reschedule or not. But wouldn’t you now- the storm passed through and even gave us a little bit of sunshine! They drove down from College Station the day before and had spent the day at Moody Gardens for Jude’s 4th birthday. He’s currently all about sharks so this was perfect for him! This trip was also Jenson’s first time at the beach and it was so fun to see his sweet reactions to the sand and the water.
