Southern Bride Magazine Feature

We’re in Southern Bride Magazine!!! *cue the confetti!* We’re so excited for Laith and Nedaa! Their wedding was featured in Southern Bride Magazine’s Summer/ Fall 2018 issue! This is our second magazine feature in less than a year and I still have to pinch myself when I open the pages. Michael and I photographed Latih and Nedaa’s wedding back in September and it’s one we’ll never forget! They had originally planned their wedding for September 1st, but Hurricane Harvey had different plans. They were forced to postpone their wedding for a week and thankfully, ALL of their vendors were available! How amazing is that?! Laith and Nedaa had a lot of family flying in overseas from Jordan but due to Harvey, all the airports were closed. As a result, their families were rerouted and stranded in different states until they could fly into Houston. Talk about stressful! But Laith and Nedaa were so calm and handled everything with such grace. I’m still just so amazed with them!
When their wedding day finally arrived, it was the most amazing day. The weather was perfect and we were able to get so many portraits of them outside! After their sweetest first look at Eleanor Tinsley Park, we took their bride and groom portraits in front of the iconic Houston Skyline. But what makes it extra special is that you can still see residual flooding from Harvey! Even a week after the storm, the park and bayou were still a little flooded. But these two didn’t care. They were so excited to finally get married and celebrate with their friends and family that a little extra water in the background was no big deal!
A few months ago, Southern Bride Magazine had a submission request for weddings in the Houston area and my first thought was, “I have that!!!”  So, I took a chance and submitted their wedding! I sent the magazine editor about 85 photos (which was super hard to narrow down out of like…1,000) and told her the entire story. Editors LOVE reading the stories about the photos and Laith and Nedaa certainly had a story to tell! Not but two days later, I get an email from Scottie, the editor at Southern Bride Magazine telling me that she absolutely LOVED Laith and Nedaa’s wedding and wanted to feature it in their next printed issue! I was SO excited!! I had barely finished reading the email when I texted Nedaa (in all caps) that her wedding was going to be in a magazine! Then I called Michael and told him the good news while jumping up and down in our living room! Laith and Nedaa would get to share their beautiful wedding and their incredible story to the masses!
Congratulations Laith & Nedaa! You guys deserve it!! You can find their three page Southern Bride Magazine feature at Barnes and Noble! Their wedding is on pages 72, 73, and 74!
