River Oaks Houston Engagement Session

Oh where do I even start with these two?! Katherine and Christian are an absolute dream! They were such naturals in front of the camera and made my job so easy!! Every photo they took was amazing which means their blog post is about a mile long!!

Katherine and Christian live in Washington D.C. and flew down to visit family, check some things off their wedding planning list (like menu tasting!!) and take their engagement photos with us! Since they were flying in for their session, I was praying we’d have good weather while they were here…and we did! It was such a beautiful day!

We first met up with them at Katherine’s dad’s house in River Oaks, which is also their wedding venue! It was so neat getting to tour the house while hearing about all their wedding day plans! I was already envisioning everything coming together!

Katherine and Christian first met at a tacky sweater Christmas party in DC back in 2017. As fate would have it, they were both wearing light up sweaters! They naturally gravitated towards each other and they’ve been together ever since.

Christian is actually from Germany! His family lives in Dresden, Germany and will be flying in for their wedding this September! Last year, Katherine and Christian took a three month sabbatical in Europe. While they were in Spain, Christian put together the best surprise…a proposal at the top of 365 steps, overlooking the city of Pollenca with a photographer ready to capture it all! It was the perfect beginning to their sabbatical! They spent the rest of their time soaking in the European sunshine and dreaming of their future lives together.

Katherine and Christian, we had such an amazing time with you two at your engagement session! You both have such joyful, kind hearted and warm spirits. It’s no wonder you two fell in love!
