A Bellaire Church of Christ Wedding

Meet Ethan and Emily! Michael and I first met these two back in February of 2023 when they came to visit the Bellaire Church of Christ where we attend. We’ve grown fond of them as a couple, their admonition for the Lord and have enjoyed watching them in this season of their life.

Ethan has always wanted to get married in the church so when they began planning their wedding, Bellaire was the perfect place to tie the knot. They invited their closest friends and family to attend their wedding and it was such a sweet experience! For starters, Ethan took one of their favorite hymns (Until I Go Home) and rewrote the words to describe their relationship from his perspective. It spoke of how from the moment they met, he knew she was the one and how they are never on their own with God at the center of their marriage. Perhaps my favorite part was when we all sang, “be with me Emily, until we go home.” Ethan secretly had us all practice singing the song one Sunday afternoon and then surprised Emily with it during the ceremony. Michael got up to lead the song and everyone sang together. The auditorium was filled with our blended voices and Emily’s eyes were filled with tears. It was truly special!

When Ethan and Emily first met, he indeed knew she was the one. He had bought her a cross necklace and gifted it to her on their first date. She wears it everyday! It solidified Emily’s feelings for him and from then on, they were inseparable. When they asked us to photograph their wedding and to help out with the music, it was a no brainer! Michael and I loved getting to create and capture these memories for them! It’s such a special opportunity to photograph the wedding of your friends.
