A Buffalo Bayou Engagement Session

I’ve officially known Emily for ten years now! We went to the University of Houston together (Go Coogs!), and we both majored in music education. And, oddly enough, Michael has known Ryan since 2005 when they marched together in the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (Splooie!). Fast forward to last year: we met up with Ryan and Emily at a wedding we shot, and they told us right then and there that they wanted us to be their wedding photographers! So, to say I’m excited to be shooting Ryan and Emily’s wedding would be a huge understatement! But my excitement pales in comparison to Emily’s. She was SO excited to be taking their engagement pictures, and I just loved it! Her joy was and is contagious!

Emily sent me an email one day saying that she was thinking about bringing her dog, Minnie, to their session.  I told her that was such a fun idea!! So Minnie had her first photo shoot, and I’m pretty sure she loved it! I mean, she had endless petting sessions, lots of treats, and got so much love.

We laughed so much during their session not only because of Ryan’s great sense of humor, but also, there was live Octoberfest yodeling music that we heard from a nearby park.  It was definitely hard to keep a straight face! I’m pretty sure Ryan and Emily are now considering using yodeling music for their first dance.  (Just kidding!) At the end of their photo session, Emily gave us the most delicious pumpkin muffins that she had baked that morning.  How do we get so lucky to find such amazing clients?! Emily and Ryan, we can’t wait for your wedding next summer!  It’s going to be amazing!
