Hermann Park Bridal Session

Oh, where do I even start with this one?! Emily is what we call an “ideal client”. Not only is she the sweetest person you’ll ever meet, but she will do anything for beautiful portraits. We originally planned to photograph her bridal session in Dallas at the Dallas Arboretum where Barrett proposed to her last year, but, on the week of her bridal session, it was pouring rain! We had to reschedule. But instead of rescheduling a day for me to go up to Dallas, Emily and her mom drove all the way to Houston! How amazing is that?! Instead of taking bridal portraits where Barrett proposed to her, we took her bridal portraits in Hermann Park where we took her and Barrett’s engagement photos. Now, she has a sentimental place not only in Dallas, but in Houston as well!

When Emily was shopping for her wedding dress, she instantly knew this dress was “the one”. She fell completely in love with the back of the dress. (Can you blame her?? It’s absolutely gorgeous!!) She even had the train of her dress extended for some extra bridal drama. I just love that!! Who knew you could even do such a thing? Throw in a long, flowy cathedral veil and you have the perfect look for the perfect day. I could photograph Emily all day long!

Emily brought along a wooden sign that said, “I love you always” and wanted to incorporate it into her photos. She told her mom that it was going to be a present for Barrett but, unbeknownst to her mom, it was for her all along!! On the wedding day, Emily gave her parents a framed portrait of her holding the sign with a hand written letter. I just loved watching that moment come full circle!
