Hi there! I'm Joanna Krueger and my husband Michael and I are a wedding photography team in Houston, TX. We hope you enjoy viewing our latest work and getting a peek into our lives!
The sanctuary was full of their closest friends and family. As the the organist began to fill the church with the most grand and majestic music, the guests took their seats and anxiously awaited to see the bride and groom. And then, the double doors opened. Katherine, the bride, was being escorted by her father, Rev. Dr. George Dupere, down the aisle to marry the love of her life. Her long, soft veil draped effortlessly over her head and followed behind her down the long aisle. She looked like royalty! As she approached the front, Paul couldn’t keep his eyes off her her. The woman he had chosen to be his wife was there looking more beautiful than ever before. Katherine’s father lifted the veil over her head and kissed her gently on the cheek. He was so proud of the woman she had become! As they walked up the stairs, her father took his place at the front of the altar and the church began to sing and fill the room with joyful music. The moment Katherine and Paul had been waiting for was finally here! And it was better than they had ever dreamed.
When Katherine was telling me about her wedding plans, she told me they had a choir that was going to be singing 5 anthems. At the time, I couldn’t imagine just how beautiful that was going to sound. And as soon as they began singing, the hairs stood up on my arms. There really are no words to describe just how beautiful it was. Michael and I made eye contact from across the room and smiled to each other. Since we both have extensive music backgrounds (that’s how I met Katherine!), that was our way of telling each other that the music was just absolutely amazing!
Katherine’s entire family is very musically inclined! I love that they all took part in the music during the ceremony. Her mom and a groomsman sang in the choir, her father conducted the choir as did her brother who also played the cello while her sister-in-law played violin. I just loved watching her family come together to create such beautiful music!
After the ceremony, we all drove over to the Texas Capitol in Austin for portraits. I just loved shooting there! It was such a unique place to shoot! The side of the capitol had the most gorgeous light with grand stairs that was the perfect place for Katherine and Paul’s bride and groom portraits. I could have shot there all day! Paul and Katherine, thank you so much for choosing us as your wedding photographers. It was has been such a joy to be a part of this special day of your life! Enjoy these few favorites from your gorgeous wedding day!
