An Eastern Glades Engagement Session | Houston, Tx

Meet Kayla and Mason!! Oh you guys…this session was just a dream! Not only did we have an absolute blast with Kayla and Mason, but the Eastern Glades were showing off for us. The way the light bounces off the pavement creates the dreamiest portraits! I’ve photographed in so many different places but this location is pretty unique with the way the light hits. When Kayla and Mason emailed me saying they wanted to have their session here, I was secretly super excited because I love getting to photograph here! I think it’s probably my favorite place to shoot engagement sessions!

Kayla and Mason…where do I even start?! From the day I first met Kayla on zoom, I knew they were going to be great to work with. But I had no idea just how great! Two minutes into their session, I knew my job was going to be super easy! Every photo they took was amazing which means their blog post is a mile long…and I’m not mad about it! Hah!

Michael and I love engagement sessions because that’s when we really get to know our couples! Kayla and Mason are so easy to talk to. It felt like we’d known them for years! We loved hearing about Kayla’s annual Colorado hiking trips, Mason’s dog Mac, and things they’re planning for their wedding (like a black and white dance floor!) Their classic outfits where even a nod to their wedding colors. They looked amazing!

Kayla and Mason got engaged back in April at the McGovern Centennial Gardens and now they’re planning a classic, black tie wedding at the Stables on the Brazos! This is a new venue in Houston that just opened this fall and we’re so excited to be photographing their wedding here in December! Enjoy scrolling through my favorites from their session!
