A Spring St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church Wedding | Houston, TX

Laura and Marshall are MARRIED!! These two had such a gorgeous and intimate wedding day on Saturday! It may not have been the wedding they originally planned, but it was all beautiful just the same! Laura and Marshall had to make the difficult decision of only having their immediately families (plus us!) at their ceremony. Their friends and extended families watched their wedding ceremony online via live stream! And even though they were not there in person, they were celebrating with them in spirit online! This blog post is only Part 1 of their wedding story! Laura and Marshall will have their reception later in September when they’ll be able to hug and celebrate with all their loved ones! I know they cannot wait for that day!

Because of Covid-19, the church had blocked off every two pews with blue painters tape so they could practice social distancing during their mass services. Laura said the tape could be her “something blue!” Haha! And as crazy as this time is right now, they will look back on their wedding day 50 years from now and remember that even in the midst of a pandemic, their love was stronger. All they wanted was to get married, and they made it happen, even in the face of many obstacles. I don’t know about you, but I find that incredibly romantic! 

And speaking of romantic, Laura planned the sweetest surprise for Marshall! While we were across the street taking portraits in their neighbors garden, a local musician was setting up in front of their home for a surprise first dance in their driveway! It was the perfect way to end their wedding day!
