A Lost Lake Engagement Session | Houston, Tx

Meet Laura and Marshall! These two met four years ago on a dating app. They quickly found out they were both Aggie accountants, had mutual friends and had even been at the same events, but until then, their paths had never crossed! While they dated, they immediately bonded over their love of traveling, Taylor Swift and Houston’s culinary scene!

Fast forward to July 4th. Laura and Marshall were vacationing in Boulder, Colorado, and Marshall had planned to propose to her at a scenic overlook. However, a thunderstorm rolled through, and Laura decided to change her day plans and meet up with a friend who lived in the area. Luckily, the rain stopped, and Marshall was able to propose in a quiet courtyard on Colorado University’s campus as they were scouting out a place to watch fireworks. It may not have been Marshall’s original plan, but Laura says it was the perfect proposal! She said “Yes!” And the rest is history!

Michael and I loved getting to know these two. Laura is the sweetest, and Marshall just adores her! I loved watching him brush fly-away hairs out of her face during their session to make sure she looked picture perfect. We almost rescheduled their session due to Tropical Storm Imelda, but thankfully, the rain cleared out just in time, and we had beautiful weather and light for their session!

We met up with them at the Lost Lake here in Houston. I’ve never photographed in this location before, so it was really fun for met to explore a new area! Laura and Marshall go running here all the time, and now, they’ll have sweet memories of their engagement session every time they come by! Congratulations Laura and Marshall!
