Deerwood Golf Engagement Session

They came here on their third date. Laying on a blanket, they watched a meteor shower as they fell more and more in love with each other. Darline and Daniel lived in the same part of Houston and went to Sam Houston at the same time, but their paths never crossed until it was the right time. Right after their one year anniversary, Daniel took Darline back to where they had their first date. He asked her to walk down to the lake, but it was raining and Darline was ready to get home. Daniel persisted, urging her to go. As they walked in the rain, he asked Darline if she remembered how someone told them it was good luck if it rained on your wedding day. She remembered. So then, Daniel asked her, “Well, I wonder if it’s good luck for the day you get engaged.” And with that, he was down on one knee, and Darline no longer cared that it was raining. Daniel was proposing to her. She couldn’t believe this magical moment was happening until she said ‘yes!’ and her life changed forever.

We met Darline and Daniel at Deerwood Golf Course, and their adorable puppy, Dash, came along for the ride! And I mean ride most literally because we rode around on golf carts looking for the best places to shoot! It was so much fun! I’ve known Darline since the 4th grade. We grew up in the same neighborhood and practically on the same street as she lived just around the corner. Darline and I were in the same homeroom class for what seemed like until senior year of high school.  In middle school, we sat next to each other in PE since it was in alphabetical order, and our last names were both “G’s”. So, to say I’m excited about photographing the most important day of her life is truly an understatement. Darline, Daniel is perfect for you. You guys make such an amazing couple, and we are SO excited to be a part of this time in your life! We can’t wait for your wedding!
