Photo Contest Results 2017

This is quite possibly the biggest photo contest in the world.  In fact, they call the only fair and free photo contest in the world. Anyone can submit photos and anyone can vote.  Last year, I took a chance and submitted a small handful of photos and we ended up making it all the way to the 7th round (out of 12).  This year, I submitted a few more and we actually had not one, but TWO photos that made it to the Finals! How crazy is that?! I never expected anything to come out of submitting photos and the further we got, the more exciting it got!

This year, 332,768 photos were submitted into 25 different categories.  Over 100,000 people voted from over 130 different countries.  Photos advanced to the next rounds based on how many votes they got and the photos with the most votes win.  It’s as simple as that! Each person can submit up to 50 photos but I only submitted 16.  (Next year, I’m planning on submitting WAY more!) The Grand Prize, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners all receive prizes in the form of business related items.  Things such as a year (or more) subscription to an online contract and invoicing program, a free year of a website subscription, a free album and album design, etc. Things that photographers pay for annually that would put more cash in their bank accounts.

Once I found out that anyone could vote, I shared our status and links to Facebook and SO many of you supported us by voting.  In fact, some of you spent HOURS voting hoping to see one of our photos pop up in the random cycle of photos!  The support and encouragement you guys showed us really blew me away.   I’m so excited to share that we have the final results for all the photos we submitted!   We have the round that each photo made it to and what place it received. This was so interesting to me to see where our photos ended up so I hope you enjoy seeing the final results!
