A Still Waters Ranch Wedding

There was greenery everywhere…from the tables to her bouquet to the ceremony backdrop. Kacey dreamed up the most gorgeous country chic wedding for her and Carlos…and it was absolutely perfect!

As soon as I walked into the bridal suite, Kacey was getting her hair done and jumped out of the chair to hug me! She was so calm and so collected, it seemed just like any ordinary day! I was so impressed with her demeanor. Kacey asked me when brides usually feel it “hit” them that they’re about to get married. I told her it’s when they are putting their dress on. They take a big, deep breath and start to grasp the brevity of what’s about to happen…and that’s exactly what Kacey did!! As soon as she was getting buttoned up in her dress, she took a big deep breath and it was that moment that it had “hit” her!

Having a summer wedding can be challenging with the Texas heat. Texas is hot! It’s not always easy being outside in your wedding attire taking portraits and trying not to melt away. I was so amazed with Carlos. He went around the venue taking portraits in the heat while wearing a nice, suede jacket and he never once complained! In fact, he always had a smile on his face. Maybe it’s because he’s a firefighter, or maybe it’s because he loves Kacey and would do anything for her. I like to think it’s the latter! 

Kacey and Carlos both really love Texas! Their venue had a wall with the Texas flag painted on the side and they requested a portrait with it saying how much they loved Texas! In fact, they’re going on a Texas road trip for their honeymoon!

Kacey and Carlos, thank you so much for choosing us as your wedding photographers. We have loved getting to celebrate this season of your life with you! I hope you guys are enjoying an amazing honeymoon!! You guys deserve it! Enjoy reliving your wedding day with these few favorites!
