Pedernales Falls Engagement Session | Austin, Tx

They met during their freshman year of college at the University of Texas. She studied Geography. He studied Aerospace Engineering. Natalie and James had the same circle of friends, and it wasn’t long before these two began dating! These two have been together for six years now, and in November, they’ll be married!!

Natalie and James love the great outdoors. They went on a rocky mountain national parks road trip after Natalie graduated from grad school to celebrate, and you would know- it rained every single day! Except… on the day that James proposed. They were hiking at Glacier National Park in the most gorgeous weather when James got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was the perfect day in more ways than one!! And even though they were on top of the world, they couldn’t call any friends or family because neither of them had cell phone service. They had to wait to share the news, but it was news worth waiting for!

As soon as we met with Natalie and James, we were hooked. We just loved their energy, that they love their dog, Ellie, as much as we love ours, and that Natalie loves photography!! Since Natalie and James love hiking and being outdoors together, it was a no brainer for them that their engagement session would be in the beautiful hill country- close to where their love story began!

Michael and I live in Houston, so it’s not everyday we get to photograph in epic locations like Pedernales Falls State Park! I’m pretty sure everyone in the park knew how excited I was over Natalie and James’ engagement session. The location..the colors…the light…the couple…everything was just perfect!! And even though it was the Saturday before spring break, you would have thought these two rented out the entire park for their engagement session. At times, it felt like we had this gorgeous park all to ourselves. Natalie and James, we can’t wait for your wedding!! Enjoy these favorites from your session!
