Houston Oaks Engagement Session

They met working together in College Station. He was in IT. She was in marketing. Let’s just say, her computer kept “breaking” a lot. Any excuse for Christina to see Richard was a highlight in her day. They began eating lunch together, and their friendship slowly blossomed into a beautiful relationship. The rest, my friends, is history! Back in February, Christina and Richard went to Hawaii to celebrate her 31st birthday. She was so excited about the trip that she actually forgot it was her birthday! After dinner on their first night, they went exploring around Waikiki Beach. There was a pier close to their hotel, but it was always full of people! But at that moment, it was clear. They walked out on the pier and Christina looked back at the island, all lit up at night. It was such a beautiful sight! She turned around to show Richard something, but what she found was far greater. He was down on one knee. After six years of dating, he asked her the most important question of her life: to be his wife forever. She said “YES!” and began to cry tears of joy. It was the perfect start to their amazing Hawaii vacation!

Michael and I absolutely loved our time with Christina and Richard. They are so full of love and their joy is contagious! They brought their *adorable* son Grayson and their fluffy pup, Chandler, along for the session. You guys… Grayson may be a future photographer. He was FULL of ideas!! He was always ready for photos and had so many great posing ideas not only for the three of them, but also for their dog and for Christina and Richard to do by themselves. He’s incredibly creative! He’s also very excited for the wedding! Christina says he talks about it all the time and refers to it as “our” wedding. How sweet is that?!

Christina is also an amazing photographer! She’s usually on the other side of the camera, so this was a change for her! It’s such an honor to be photographing the wedding of another photographer. We can’t wait! As much as we loved our our time spent with them at their engagement session, we just know their wedding is going to be amazing!
