A Hermann Park Engagement Session

They met during their senior year of high school.  They had their last class of the day together, and Barrett would walk Emily to her car every day after school. Their friendship turned to romance, and before they knew it, they were dating.  Emily had just finished a summer semester of nursing school when Barrett asked her to go to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens for a date.  Emily was a little suspicious Barrett might propose, but her sister, who was secretly in the know, convinced her otherwise.  As they walked around the lake, Emily noticed a photographer casually taking photos of nature.  The next thing she knew, Barrett was down on one knee asking her to marry him, and the photographer was capturing it all on camera.  All the raw emotions and that incredible moment when Barrett asked Emily to be his wife forever was captured in photographs. Emily threw her arms around him and cried as she said, “yes!”.  Barrett had planned it all so perfectly!

Emily emailed me after being engaged for only TEN days asking us to be their wedding photographers.  We were floored! She said she didn’t want to waste any time booking us because Barrett had loved his experience with us as a groomsman at a wedding we shot last year. How amazing is that?! And now, we get to photograph these two on their own wedding day next November in their hometown of Flower Mound. We couldn’t be more excited!!

We met at Hermann Park and photographed them in our favorite places.  From snuggling under an amazing oak tree, to kissing in a garden of rose bushes, we thought their session couldn’t get any better.  And then, they surprised us with our favorite Bath and Body Works candle as a gift and I pretty much lost it.  Emily and Barrett,  you are the sweetest and most generous couple, and we are so honored to be your wedding photographers.  Enjoy these few favorites from your engagement session!
