A North Boulevard Houston Engagement Session

Meet Shelby and Ace! Some engagement sessions just feel effortless, and Ace and Shelby’s was exactly that. From the moment we met up, they brought so much joy, laughter, and genuine love for each other that photographing them hardly felt like work at all. Everything between them happened so naturally, making it easy to capture who they are together!

Their story began a few years ago when they were introduced through mutual friends. Ace knew he wanted to get to know Shelby better, so he asked for her phone number and the rest is history! Fast forward several years to just a few days before Christmas. Ace planned the sweetest proposal! Instead of getting down on one knee right away, he tucked Shelby’s engagement ring inside a wrapped gift beneath the Christmas tree. He convinced her to open one present early, and when she unwrapped it, she found the ring waiting inside! It was the perfect surprise and such a meaningful way to start the holiday season together!

We met Shelby and Ace at North Boulevard for their engagement session. The beautiful oak trees, charming architecture, and soft evening light made for the dreamiest backdrop! I loved incorporating both wide scenic portraits and intimate close-ups for their gallery. One of my favorite things about Ace and Shelby was how much fun they made the session. They were up for anything, completely trusted my direction and laughed along the way! Those are always the sessions that produce the most authentic images because nothing feels forced.
